Larry Milano
HELPER – Larry Dean Milano, age 69, passed away Sept. 19, 2006 peacefully at his home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1936 in Price to Pasquleno and Gladys Elberta Ross Milano. Married Mary Lou Sherman on Nov. 30, 1957 in Spring Glen. She died June 28, 2000.
She was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry enjoyed working in his yard.
Survived by two sons, Terry Milano, Spring Glen; Dennis (Ann) Milano, Helper; eight grandchildren, Jenaye Milano, Spring Glen; Shanell Milano, Terry Milano, Austin Milano, Wyoming; April Milano, Nichole Milano, Jesse Milano, Darren Milano, all of Helper; five sisters and one brother, Lee (Betty) Milano, Las Vegas, Nev.; Wanda Woody, Salt Lake City; Nataline Brackus and Blaine, Salt Lake City; Betty (Merrill) Jones, Carbonville; Irene Cripps, Price; and Larue (Wally) Llewelyn, Las Vegas, Nev. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and a community of friends. Preceded in death by parents; son, Karl; sister, Helen; and brother, Dwane.
Funeral Mass Saturday, Sept. 23, 10 a.m., St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Vigil service Friday evening, 7 p.m. at St. Anthony’s in Helper. Family will be at the church in Helper Friday and Saturday one hour prior to services. Committal will be at the church in Helper Friday and Saturday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
Edith Dickson
PRICE – Edith Alma Thornton Dickson, “Grammy” our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister has gone to join her husband, Mike Dickson on Sept. 18, 2006.
She was born Nov. 8, 1912 in Georgetown, Ill. to Martha Pearl and Benjamin Yapp, where she lived until 1945 when she and her family came to Utah where her husband was to be employed in the coal mines.
Edith lived through many monumental events. From the grandeur of indoor plumbing to a new millennium. She lived through two world wars. She saw the great depression, being happy that you didn’t need a stamp to buy pigs feet and ears. She saw the Berlin Wall go up and come down. She saw the first man walk on the moon. Not to mention the vast changes in technology that she witnessed.
She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, visiting with her friends at the senior center and moving her rocks. But mostly she loved her family and they loved her.
She is survived by son, Mick (Karen) of East Carbon; daughter, Joni (Tony) of Salt Lake; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three sisters. She is preceded in death by husband, Mike; and daughter, Doris.
As per her request only a graveside service will be performed Thursday, Sept. 11 a.m., at the Price City cemetery.
Kelly Otani
HELPER – On June 11, 1968, born to Ralph and Sandra Fossat, a daughter so great. Kelly Fossat Santistevan Otani, mother, friend, confident, and my great love, suddenly passed, to hands up above.
Kelcy and Kamren, daughter and son, will hear her cheer with each rising sun. Victor and Vikki, brother and sis, she is always in your hearts just reminisce. Sept. 19, 2006, is the day we lost her tragically, it can’t be fixed. What she leaves behind, is a legacy of love. Accomplishments many, but two stand above. Mother, daughter, sister, my love, just know we all love you, as you watch from above. More than life itself.
Funeral service Saturday, Sept. 23, 1 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper.
Gerrit Hensley
HELPER – Gerrit Simon “Gerry” Hensley, age 47, died Sept. 15, 2006 in Rye, Texas.
He was born Dec. 6, 1958 in Salt Lake City to Carl A. and Jannetje Hensley.
Gerry loved the outdoors and fishing.
He is survived by mother, Jannetje Hensley; daughter, Simonia Hunt; brothers and sisters, Hank (Paula) Hensley, Albert Hensley, Rosetta (James) Ceal, Fred (Pier) Hensley, Iona (Steve) Giocoletto, Naomi (Jim) Phillips, Carl (Lori) Hensley, Jan (Tamara) Hensley, Janneke (Kevin) Phillips, Enoch Hensley; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, Carl A. Henseley and Lisa Hunt.
Burial will be private.
Joseph Jennings
OREM – Joseph Paul Jennings, 61, of Orem, passed away Sept. 17, 2006.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced by the Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant, Grove.
