The driver of a tractor that uncoupled from a semitrailer looks at the mess it caused on the road when it fell off on Sunday afternoon at about 1:30 p.m. The trailer and refrigeration unit slid off the tractor, with the front end bouncing on the road before finally digging into the asphalt which stopped it dead in its tracks. The trailer did not roll and stayed completely in the outside lane of an uphill section of U.S. Highway 6 west of Soldiers Summit near milepost 207. One lane of the road was closed for several hours while HAZMAT crews cleaned up diesel fuel that came pouring out of the fuel tank on the refrigeration unit.
