Lloyd Harrison


PRICE – Beloved husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather, Lloyd Alfred Harrison, age 83, passed away June 20, 2006 after a long illness.
Lloyd was born Aug. 19, 1922 in LaPoint, to James Alfred and Conda Nielson Harrison. Married his high school sweetheart Boneta Nielson on Nov. 18, 1942 and they spent 62 wonderful years together.
Lloyd was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he worked for Chevron Oil for 30 years and later became manager of the Carbon County Fairgrounds.
Survived by wife, Boneta; two children, Janice (Gene) Luke, Draper; Brad (Dale) Harrison, Kapolei, Hawaii; eight grandchildren, Julie Jones, Jennifer Osguthorpe, Jeff Snow, Jeron Snow, Braderik Harrison, Bonnie Wooderson, Brian Harrison, Turner Harrison; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Kent L. Harrison, Provo. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, Ross J. Harrison.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Heirloom Inn for the great care and love they gave Lloyd.
Graveside service Saturday, June 24, noon, at Cliffview Cemetery. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Saturday one hour prior to service. Friends are welcome to call Mitchell’s daily.


James McArthur


PRICE/SALT LAKE CITY – James R. “Jamie” McArthur, age 41, passed away June 20, 2006 at his home in Price.
He was born April 5, 1965 in Salt Lake City to Duane L. and Anna F. Park McArthur. He married Christine McFarland Dec. 9, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Jamie enjoyed motocross, pheasant hunting, and softball, and he loved his son, Weston.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; step-daughters, Kasee and Kayla Robinson of Price; son, Weston, of West Jordan; sisters and brothers, Anette, Wayne, Nadia, Kathy, Marilyn, Robin and Leslie. Preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Joey and Kasey.
A tribute will be held Thursday, June 22, at Fausett Mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be in Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 South in Murray, Friday, June 23, 1 p.m. under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.


Roma Pettey


PRICE – Roma Story Pettey, 84, died in Price on June 18, 2006.
She was born March 13, 1922 in Moroni, a daughter of David Ray and Beatrice Marshall Story. She married George Ellis Pettey Sept. 25, 1941 in Price.
Roma and Ellis settled in Hiawatha where Ellis worked in several coal industry jobs until they moved to the San Francisco Bay area in 1956. Ellis owned and operated a metal fabrication business there and Roma worked as a manager for See’s Candies.
Upon their retirement, they returned to live many years in Price.
Roma had a life-long dedication to her family and friends that was an inspiration to all and spent many happy days with them in outdoor activities in the mountains of Utah and California.
She is survived by twin sons, Kent (Leslie) Pettey, Oakhurst, Calif.; Brent Pettey, Pinecrest, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler Pettey, Mountain View, Calif. She was preceded in death by husband, Ellis; and brothers, LaVar Story, Calvin Story and Darrell Story.
Cremation took place at the family’s request. A memorial service will be Saturday, June 24, 11 a.m., at Fausett Mortuary in Price, 680 East 100 South, where friends may call one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 771 East Winchester, Murray, UT 84107 or to the National Forest Foundation, Building 27, Suite 3, Fort Missoula Road, Missoula, MT 59804.
