Clay Gasser


CLAWSON – Clay “Gozzo” R. Gasser, age 50, passed away peacefully June 6, 2006 while surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer.
He was born June 13, 1955 in American Fork, to Ralph and Virginia Lundel Gasser. Married the love of his life Christy Jean Riley June 30, 1979 in Ferron.
Active member of the LDS Church.
He was a longtime employee of Consol Emery Mine Local 1261.
Gozzo loved spending time with his family whether it was camping, fishing, hunting, tying flies, planting his garden, or just being together. The love for his family will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed and always remembered by his family and friends. We will love you forever, Gozzo.
Survived by beautiful wife, Christy Jean Gasser; four wonderful children, Zebadiah T. Gasser, Sarah (Michael K.) Allred, Christa V. Gasser, Zacariah C. Gasser; and beautiful granddaughter, Brylei Jean Allred. Preceded in death by his father, Ralph Gasser; and father-in-law, Lloyd George Riley.
Funeral service Friday, June 9, 1 p.m., at the Blue Hills LDS Ward in Ferron. Family will be at the church Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Ferron City Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.


Larry Quintana


PRICE – Larry Ronald Quintana, age 54, passed away June 6, 2006 at his home in Price.
He was born Dec. 7, 1951 in Price to Pete and Stella Ulibarri Quintana. Married Debbie Shiner Dec. 6, 1975 in Price.
Larry graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1970.
He was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he worked for Price city maintenance and in the drywall business.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing golf and baseball with his grandson, Blaze.
Larry was a hardworking man who loved life. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by wife, Debbie Quintana, Price; two daughters, Nicole, West Valley; Mandy (Sonny), Price; son, Loren, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Price; mother, Stella, Price; grandchildren, Blaze and Jashanti Olsen; six brothers, Terry (Mary), Salt Lake City; Buddy (Deloris), Price; Rey, West Jordan; Jay (Christina), Kenilworth; Ernie (Lynda), Price; Duane (Bernadette), Price; sisters, Linda (Mike) Magann, Phoenix, Ariz.; Dolly (Paul) Downard, Price; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, Pete.
The family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice, especially Rick Stockburger, Cheyenne Turner, Angie Fausett and Melissa Nelson.
Funeral service, Saturday, June 10, 10 a.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home. Vigil service Friday evening, 7 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery.


Skip Houskeeper


PRICE – Skip Houskeeper, age 63, passed away June 5, 2006 at his home in Price.
He was born Feb. 25, 1943 in Price, to Ted and Kay Christensen Houskeeper.
Skip was a lifelong resident of Carbon County, where he graduated from Carbon High School and later attended the College of Eastern Utah. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, Deer Creek Local 1769.
Skip had a great love for music and as an accomplished musician he entertained locally for years with his band, “Nightrain”.
He loved to draw and his artwork was used by many businesses in the area and his illustrations were also published in a children’s book.
Survived by loving wife, Lucile Westbrook Houskeeper, Price; two sons and two daughters, Mont Houskeeper, Bobbie (Jessie) Smith, Shane Houskeeper, all of Salt Lake City; DeAnn (Lex) Moosman, Price; six grandchildren, Kenneth, JayDee, Sharon, Dustin, Karen and Sierra; two brothers and one sister, Brent (Connie) Houskeeper, Salt Lake City; Linda (Vern) Osmond, Logan; Craig (Donna) Houskeeper, Price; brother-in-law, Richard (Ida) Westbrook, Wellington; and many other loving family members and longtime friends. He was preceded in death by parents and two sisters.
Funeral service Friday, June 9, 11 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Friday one hour prior to services. Friends are welcome at Mitchell’s daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery.
