Editor,
I read an interesting letter in the Sun Advocate last week. It seems that the city of Helper is considering going to a graduated billing system that will penalize a family if their water usage is to low.
I can appreciate their reasoning behind the proposal (they want to promote pretty green lawns through out the city) but, we live in a desert and it wasn’t that long ago that Utah was in a bad drought.
I am surprised how quickly our community has forgotten that fact and is trying to get the public to use more water instead of keeping usage at a more conservative rate.
