Carbon shortstop makes the out against Juan Diego in a 14-1 loss on Tuesday afternoon.

If softball had a mulligan like golf, then Carbon may have chosen to use it to erase a disastrous first inning. Without the 12 runs that crossed the plate in the first, then the Dinos played a close game.
Torie Johnson took the mound to start the game. She was unable to stop the parade of batters who hit her hard. The team also committed four errors. Coach Pinedo was finally forced to bring in Paige Pinedo to get them out of first inning. Pinedo pitched a good game and was able to hold Juan Diego to only two more runs in the game.
Carbon’s only run came in the first inning on a single by lead-off batter Brooke Herrick. The Dinos had five hits on the afternoon.
The team will have a break before traveling to Provo to play a non-region game on April 18. Their schedule will force them to head to South Sevier the next day and then to return home and meet up with Granite on April 20. They will have no rest as they will head right to Richfield for a three game tournament on April 21 and 22.
