Photos taken in July 2004 and last week show the transformation at the former Water Canyon compressor station. After purchasing equipment improvements from a different company several years ago, Bill Barrett Corporation recently removed the compressor, leaving only a tank and one piece of equipment at the site. Barrett hired a contractor to build a berm along the road, put up a fence and plant vegetation to obscure the remnants of the station. Similar fences are common in Nine Mile Canyon.
