Students, parents and others gathered Friday for the open house of the Gallery East’s most recent exhibit. The exhibit is the result of a contest by high school students across the state. CEU art instructor Cliff Bergera said the college received more than 200 submissions from 18 high schools. A panel reduced those to fewer than 100 for display and selected winners for the competition. First, second and third place winners received cash awards. The recipient of the best of show award received a cash prize and a one year tuition scholarship to the college.
