Jamie King holds the ball as she looks for just the right time to pass it during the Lady Dinos 63-43 defeat of Snow Canyon.

In a year of big wins and even bigger losses, the good team showed up to play Saturday afternoon. In a decisive win over Snow Canyon, 63-43, the Lady Dinos showed that they have what it takes to play great basketball.
Even though Snow Canyon was coming off a tough loss to Emery the night before they were hungry for a win and were looking to take one from Carbon.
The Dinos, however, were not ready to give one up and came out hot.
Megan Garvin went 3 for 3 from beyond the arc early in the first half to force the Warriors defense to spread out.
Carbon has been struggling with their offense in recent games, but Saturday they were hitting on all cylinders to put 63 points on the board. The entire team executed well.
Coach Bruce Bean felt like it was another great team effort. The most encouraging news was that the team also didn’t turn the ball over and give Snow Canyon unearned opportunities to score.
The Lady Dinos travel to Salt Lake to play Granite (2-6) on Thursday in their first Region 8 contest of the year.
