Bill Brown
KENILWORTH – Wilfred Russell Brown, age 91, passed away Dec. 25, 2005 at the Heirloom Inn in Price.
Born Jan. 11, 1914 in Billings, Mont., to Wilbur and Bertha Brown. Married Arline Houton Sept. 5, 1936 in Red Lodge, Mont.; their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Bill was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as bishop in the Kenilworth Ward, and branch clerk in Scofield from 1978 to 2003. Brother and Sister Brown enjoyed many friendships over the years and they were especially blessed with their wonderful family in Scofield for nearly 30 years while they served as branch clerk and organist.
Bill was a resident of Kenilworth since 1938, where he was known as “Kenilworth’s Handyman.” He worked in various coal mines in the area where he was a retired member of U.S. Fuel, Hiawatha, UMWA Local 6363, retiring at the age of 75. Bill received an award from United Mine Workers of America and the State of Utah for 63 years of no lost time accidents in the mining industry. He will be dearly missed by his family and many longtime friends.
Survived by loving wife, Arline Brown, Price; three sons and their spouses, Ray (Patricia) Brown, Magna; Kenneth (Carol) Brown, South Jordan; Terry (Evelyn) Brown, Price; brother, William (Maxine) Brown, California; sister, Marie Guinder, Washington; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Margaret Jane Henrie; grandson, Terry LaVar Brown; brother, Warren Brown; and sister, Ruby Hayes.
Funeral service Thursday, Dec. 29, noon, Helper LDS Stake Center. Family will be at the Stake Center Thursday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
Paul Campbell
PRICE – Paul Clark Campbell, 54, of Price passed away Dec. 28, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Price on Sept. 23, 1951 to C. Calvin and Jeanine Clark Campbell. He married Angela Cowley on June 17, 1988 in Glendale, Ariz.
Paul was a square dance caller and instructor. He touched many hearts through his singing, songwriting and other musical talents and entertained extensively across the country.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to the Delaware/Maryland mission.
Paul had a real talent for making people laugh.
Survived by wife, Angela Campbell, son; Jonathan Campbell, Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters, Jennifer Campbell, Las Vegas, Nev.; Megan (David) Rooksby, Portland, Ore.; father, C. Calvin Campbell, Price; and two grandchildren. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Dan (Kristy) Campbell, Pleasant Grove; Bob Campbell, Price; Joni Campbell, Helper; Rick (Amy) Campbell, Helper; Jeff (Tami) Campbell, St. George. Preceded in death by mother, Jeanine, and sister, Denise.
Graveside services will be Friday, Dec. 30, at 1 p.m. at the Cliffview Cemetery in Price under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.

Henry Oneida
KEARNS – Henry Michael Oneida, age 49, passed away Dec. 26, 2005.
Born May 4, 1956 to Henry Oneida Sr. and Marion Lukich Guerra. Married Bertha Mae Smith, March 25, 1975, later divorced.
Henry’s interests were fishing, hunting and being outdoors with family and friends. He was a natural born leader, the steady rock of our family. He will be missed dearly by all who know him.
Survived by three children, Country (Dan) Bray; Michael; and Trisha Oneida; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Ashlyn. Also survived by Jeff Oneida, Kurtis and Vicki Oneida, Marion and Cindy Oneida; stepfather, Eleuterio Guerra; sister, Alicia Guerra; loving companion, Jaylene Hunsaker; grandmother, Sophie Lukich; and uncle Michael Lukich, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Henry Oneida, Sr., beloved brother Owen Todd Oneida, sister Sophie Denise Oneida Pierce.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005 at 3 pm at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 East, Murray. Friends and family may visit from 2 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Earl Wilson
PRICE – Earl Lewis Wilson, age 79, passed away at his home on Dec. 27, 2005.
Memorial graveside services will be Wednesday, Jan. 4, 11 a.m., in the Wellington City Cemetery.
Nellie Clark
PRICE – Nellie Darlene Clark, 88, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Dec. 26, 2005 in Price to be reunited with her loving husband, Tain.
She was born March 30, 1917 in Hayden to Hyrum Lyionel and Princess Eugeni (Gardner) Spencer. She married Tain Theron Clark on Nov. 23, 1936 in Vernal, which was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
An active member of the LDS church, she and her husband were temple workers at the Manti LDS Temple for many years.
Darlene was many things in her life, including a florist, a waitress, a cook and a homemaker. She was a verifiable “domestic engineer.” She loved to have company over and could whip up a meal for a crowd in no time. Missed will be the amazing apple pies, the bread, the chicken and noodles, all lovingly made from scratch. Tain and her family were her life.
Darlene is survived by her children, Betti (Earl) Curtis of Salt Lake City; Alva “Smokey” Clark, Theron “Chub” (Vera) Clark and Jerry “Muggs” (Valynda) Clark, all of Wellington; Connie (Kent) Norton of Price; and Shirlee (Larry) Lopan of Boulder City, Nev. Also survived by 27 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by sweetheart, Tain; a daughter, Barbara Henderson; her parents; and her brothers and sisters, including her twin.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 30, at 1 p.m. in the Wellington LDS Stake Center. Friends are invited to call Thursday, Dec. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fausett Mortuary in Price and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
Deanna Jeys
PRICE- Deanna Abbott Jeys, age 44, passed away peacefully Dec. 27, 2005 in Price after a long illness.
She was born March 16, 1961 in Salt Lake City to Robert and Helena Mitchell Abbott. Married Dan Jeys, Aug. 7, 1998 in Price.
Deanna enjoyed cross stitching and needle work. She liked to fish, camp and enjoy the beauty of the high mountains.
She will be dearly missed by her family and many dear friends.
Survived by her husband, Dan Jeys; son, Steven Jeys; daughter, Michelle Jeys; father, Bob Abbott, all of Price; brothers and sisters, William F. (Paula) Abbott, Tooele; Judy (Don) Lavcirica, Colorado Springs, Colo.; John (Heather) Abbott, Tooele; Sherrie (Rodney) Delaney, Grantsville.
Preceded in death by her mother, Helena Waters.
Graveside service, Saturday, Dec. 31, 11 a.m., Mountain View Cemetery, Helper, Utah. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Saturday one hour prior to service. Friends are welcome at Mitchell’s Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Alonzo Lister
Our beloved husband and father, Alonzo “Lonnie” Dean Lister, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Dec. 25, 2005.
Born March 2, 1932 in Duchesne.
Lonnie Dean will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and companion to our dear mother, Laraine Lister for more than 50 years.
He will be forever loved and honored as a kind, gentle and caring father. Our father was devoted to his God all his life as a faithful member of the LDS church. Lonnie was a veteran of the Korean War.
Truly, our father shall be missed by all of his family, friends and companions of his life, for Lonnie Dean was always known to help and lend his hands to anyone that he could, therefore, now, our dear husband and father be in the hands of God forever.
Lonnie Dean Lister is survived by his most cherished and beloved wife, Laraine, his children, Lonnie David Lister Jr.; Michael Douglas Lister and wife, Jessica; Lorrie Adell Lister and husband, Todd Andrews; Shirelene Joyce Lister and husband Ronnie Gines. Lonnie Sr. will also be deeply missed by his 10 blessed grandchildren and seven beloved great-grandchildren, whom our father loved with all his heart and soul.
Lonnie Dean Lister will complete his earthly stay to be laid to his eternal rest on Jan. 3 at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Arizona with military honors.
Edna Smith
EAST CARBON – Edna Rae Smith, age 81 passed away after beating a courageous battle with cancer on Christmas day surrounded by her loving family and in the arms of her devoted husband.
She was born March 23, 1924 in Web City, MO. She married the love of her life Lawrence James Smith July 1, 1944 and was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple July 2, 1964. They lived in Draper for 29 years where they raised their 8 children and in 1976 they moved to Carbon/Emery counties until July 2005 when they moved to Riverton.
She loved traveling on short trips, especially in the mountains and wherever she could see a river. Her favorite hobby was crocheting, reading and listening to Christmas music.
Edna worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Co. from 1942 to 1946. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Which is what she devoted her entire life to.
She was a very innocent, honest, humble women, and to all who knew her, she was always giggling and sharing that beautiful smile. She was always there for every one of her children. When we were down she would tell us in one way or another to keep your hearts free from hate, your mind from worry, live simply, expect little, give much, fill your life with love, scatter sunshine, forget self and think of others. This was how she survived life and this is how she left.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survived by husband, Lawrence James Smith; daughters, Lawral Bunker (Dick), Lynda Logan (Richard), Jeannie Ringwood (Cregg), Bertha Davis (Todd), Tressie Rudden (Randy); sons: Lawrence Joseph Smith, Samuel Lyle Smith (Amy) and her 28 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, three greats on the way; sister Audrey Manness (Elmo) and her brother Burr Clayton (Diane) and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her first born daughter Katheryn Roberts (John).
The family will be at the Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E. 10600 South Sandy, Dec. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Dec. 30 from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. where funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with the interment at the Larkin Sunset Gardens.

Theresa Phelps-Steele
PRICE/SEATTLE, Wash. – Theresa Ann “T’Ann” Phelps-Steele Passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughter Terry Ann Phelps and husband Ronald Steele ending her struggle with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Price to Oliver and Theresa “Terry” Phelps on June 30, 1954.
T’Ann was a graduate of Carbon High and College of Eastern Utah. She fulfilled her dream of becoming a R.N. at Mercy Central School of Nursing in Grand Rapids, Mich. She returned to her home town of Helper to work alongside her father at his family practice clinic and as his surgical nurse.
After the birth of her daughter, T’Ann moved for a brief time to Reno, Nev., where she worked at Washo Medical Center. From there they moved to Washington, where T’Ann began work at Northwest Hospital. Continuing to remain close to her love of medicine, she began a new venture into administration, management and construction of retirement facilities.
She was part of such projects as Pacific Regent Bellevue and Bessie Burton Sullivan on the Seattle University Campus. In the late 90s T’Ann began to work in placement and care of medically indigent residents of Seattle. In 1999 she took on the full time care of her ailing father until his passing in 2000. Until her death she became a nursing consultant for a number of families throughout the Northwest.
Throughout her life T’Ann stayed close to her Christian beliefs and all that knew her were blessed with her kindness. She truly embodied the work of God while here on Earth, giving all she could to others. She enjoyed her profession as a nurse and her work in the community. As an active member in her community she sat as president for the Lake Stickney Community Club and headed many projects for the community.
Most dear to T’Ann was the raising of her only daughter, Terry. A loving wife, mother and friend we mourn her death and celebrate her life. T’Ann brought to this life a beautiful strength and love that was admired and commended.
She is survived by husband, Ronald William Steele; daughter, Terry Ann Phelps; mother, Theresa “Terry” Halpine Phelps; brother, Walker Phelps; sisters, Olivia Phelps, Mary Phelps, Patricia Erramousp�, Michaela Phelps and Hellen Fleming. Preceded in death by father, Oliver Phelps.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in celebration of the life of T’Ann Phelps-Steele will be celebrated by Father David Leigh Friday, Dec. 30, 11:30 a.m., St. Joseph Church, Seattle, Wash. Vigil service Thursday evening, Dec. 29, 5 p.m. at Bonney-Watson funeral home, Seattle.
