Carbon County Sheriff James Cordova, along with Carbon County Search and Rescue Commander Frank Pugliese honor Dale Swanson for his long years of service to the organization. Swanson has put in 19 years of service and has not only been an integral part of the Carbon organization, but has also put in time serving as state commander. His service has led him to be involved with literally every post in the state concerning search and rescue organizations. He also spent a great deal of time helping other search and rescue organizations in their efforts to save people. During his years of service he worked with two governors, Scott Matheson and Mike Leavitt. Swanson said he may be leaving active service with the Carbon group, but that he will still be around if they need him.
