Emergency responders mobilize to provide assistance to a pilot making an emergency landing at the Carbon County airport yesterday. The pilot reported he had trouble getting his landing gear to function. Emergency crews positioned themselves on the taxiway as the plane circled the airfield. The aircraft, a 1979 Cessna 402C, landed safely at its scheduled destination, much to the relief of law enforcement, paramedics and firefighters who had responded. Operated by a charter company in Salt Lake City, the plane carries financial information to local banks.
