Michael Glasson makes one of the dives that won him first place.

On Dec. 3, Carbon High School held it’s invitational diving meet. The weather and road conditions scared a lot of the participants away, but the schools that came competed well.
In the boys 11 dive competition, Michael Glasson took the first place trophy. He also scored the highest number of points he has been able to amass at a meet this year with 312.40.
Kent Olsen placed third overall with a personal best point total.
Christian Axelgard placed fourth and Jacob Perez took fifth.
In the girls competition Chelsey Cloward placed second. She was even in points with the first place competitor until the last three dives in which she fell behind.
Steven Powell placed first in the 6 dive category. He was followed by Jarred Maryboy in third place and Jordan Burrows in fourth.
Every diver on the team improved their scores at the meet. In fact, if Maryboy had not failed his in one dive he probably would have won the 6 dive competition.
