At a pre-Thanksgiving meet on Nov. 22, the Carbon boys and girls swimming teams defeated two schools, Uintah and South Summit. Carbon’s women scored 360 points to the Lady Utes 340 and South Summits 281.
The boys team put up 503 points against 480 for Uintah and 202 to South Summit.
Leading the way for the boys was Leo Yu with a first place in the 200 free and in the 100 backstroke.
For the girls the top swimmer was Kelli Padgett who took a second in the 50 free and fifth in the 100 free. April Sorensen was close behind with a third place in both the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke.
Carbon swimmers will continue to compete up through next month.
