Carbon wrestling schedule announced

Carbon’s wrestling team, led by Coach Dave Smith, will have quite an aggressive schedule of meets this year.
Tonight (Nov. 22) at 3:30 p.m. they will copete with Pineview High School in the first meet for the Dino mat men.
The next meet will be one of the favorites of the year, the Carbon Duels on Dec. 2-3. This meet is popular with not only wrestling fans but teams from all over the state as hundreds of athletes come to compete at Carbon High.
Once that meet is over Carbon goes has two meets on Dec. 7 and 10, the first with Altamont in the Duchesne County town and the other with Hurricane who will visit the Dino digs to compete.
The first league meet of the year takes place when Carbon travels to Draper to compete with Juan Diego on Dec. 14.
Then it is off to one of the most prestigious meets in the state on Dec. 16, the Viewmont Tournament. Anyone who knows wrestling knows that Viewmont has been a wrestling powerhouse for decades and their tournament always tests the teams that are there.
On Dec. 19-20 the Carbon team will travel to Reno, Nev. for the Tournament of Champions, one of the most prestigious national high school tournaments in the country.
