Robert Atwood
HELPER – Robert Delon Atwood returned to his Heavenly Father on Nov. 10, 2005.
He was born to Erna Bishop and F. Delon Atwood on March 24, 1955 in Price. He grew up in Wellington and married Susan Flaherty in 1977. He had one son, Steven Cloye.
Robert served as a police officer for Helper City for 15 years. He loved to teach the D.A.R.E. Program to the children of his community.
He enjoyed fishing and camping. He was a kind hearted “gentle” man. He recently took up and enjoyed bowling. He was respected and liked by his coworkers and friends.
We will miss him dearly, but we know he is happier now and is in a much better place.
Roberts is survived by son, Steven Cloye Atwood, mother, Erma (Atwood) Ball; four sisters, Carol Thayn, Shirley Atwood, of Wellington; Beverly Branch, Lynette Potts of Price. He was preceded in death by father, F. Delon Atwood.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 15, 11 a.m., at the Helper LDS Stake Center where a viewing will be held at 9:30 prior to the service. Burial, Cleveland Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
Lance Sandstrom
WELLINGTON – Lance “Geebs” G. Sandstrom, age 22, passed away Nov. 10, 2005 from injuries received in an auto accident.
Born Sept. 14, 1983 in Gunnison, to Leon G. and Clarice Mortensen Sandstrom.
Lance loved fishing, hunting, going to the mountains and “hanging” out with his friends.
Survived by mother, Clarice Sandstrom, Wellington; brother, Andrew W. Sandstrom, Fargo, N.D.; two nephews, one niece, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Preceded in death by father; sister, Kristina; and grandparents.
Funeral service Tuesday, Nov. 15, 1 p.m., at Wellington 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 50 N. 100 East. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price Tuesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cleveland City Cemetery.
Genevive Meza-Mascarenas
PRICE – Rejoice and remember Genevive Molly Meza-Mascarenas, the loving daughter of Marlana Meza and Abel Mascarenas.
Grandparents are Henry and Dora Smith and Isaias and Mary Meza.
Graveside services for Genevive were Saturday, Nov. 12., at Price City Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
