Town girls end up in the arms of the Pontipee brothers during the town social. The social begins relationships between the girls and the brothers. Gideon (Jordan Kennedy) holding Alice (Bonnie Peterson) and Daniel (David Youso) holding Ruth (Shari Reinhardt). One of the girls’ suitors (Seth Burgess) feels the loss.

Set in Oregon Territory in the late 1800’s, this play tells the story of seven backwoodsmen as they join civilization and learn etiquette so they can get wives. This delightful musical is directed by Lori Prince and Madelaine Nyffeler and will quickly become one of the community’s favorites.
The stage play has many delicious differences from the movie and many people will find those differences are the things they will remember and love the most.
Mike Hughes and Christian Smith play the leads, Adam and Millie, and are supported by Jeff Richins, David Hocansen, David Youso, Pete Yakovich, Joshua Cha and Jordan Kennedy as the Brothers. Kristy Woodhouse, Stephanie Koss, Shari Reinhardt, Keira Richins, Nicole Manley, and Bonnie Peterson are the other beautiful Brides.
Many newcomers have joined CVCT veterans to round out the cast and help the plot move along.
Eight performances began Nov. 3-5 and 7,and now also run Nov. 10-12 and on Nov. 14 as well. All performances will be at the Mont Harmon Junior High auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.
It’s a couple of hours of good entertainment for the entire family.
