The Division of Wildlife Resources Southeastern Region office in Price is seeking information about a recent incident involving the illegal killing of a bull elk. The 5×5 mature bull elk was killed on the Cold Springs Wildlife Management area near Bruin Point on or about Friday, October 21, 2005. The bull was shot from the road and was killed by a single gunshot wound. No part of the animal was taken and it was left to rot in the field. DWR officers have investigated the case and would like to encourage anyone with information to call the Price DWR office at 435-636-0260 or the Help Stop Poaching hotline at 1-800-662-DEER (3337). Callers may remain anonymous and a substantial reward is available. The investigating officer is Mike Milburn and he can be contacted directly at 435-820-6014.
