Emergency responders pull a gurney along with head and back braces from a county ambulance Monday afternoon. Mont Harmon Junior High student Rachel Faulk was taken to Castleview Hospital after a car driven by Kennedy Byrd reportedly struck the seventh grader. Faulk is reported to have suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident, which took place slightly south of 400 North on Carbon Avenue. Law enforcement authorities remind Carbon County motorists to be watchful for pedestrians, particularly in school zones. Law enforcement indicates that motor vehicle drivers should pay close attention to traffic advisory signs as well as know the starting and ending times for schools.
