Edith Piccioni
SPRING GLEN – We say farewell to a lovely woman, Edith Toson Piccioni, who left us Monday, Aug. 29, 2005.
She was born in Cimarron, N.M., in 1913 to John and Catherine Toson. She married John Piccioni in 1941 and resided in Spring Glen for the majority of her life.
She grew up in Colorado and Utah and attended local schools. She worked for the American Candy Store and Veltri’s Drug Store for many years in Helper.
She raised three children, Karyn Bertelsen, Jonna Merrill and Veloy Piccioni.
She moved to Bountiful in 1997 and happily resided with her daughter, Karyn and son-in-law, Bruce Bertelsen for the remainder of her years.
Her many interests included playing cards and Bingo with family and friends at the Bountiful Senior Citizens Center, cooking Italian food, fishing at Scofield Reservoir, participating and traveling with her husband in The Good Sam Club, gardening, visiting with family and, of course, grocery shopping.
Edith was an avid supporter of the Arthritis Foundation and Black Lung Association and donated to many worthy causes. Her compassion and generosity will always be remembered.
Our family would like to thank the many family members, friends, neighbors, clergy and the kind nurses and doctors that helped us care for her. She loved having company and we want to express our gratitude to all of you.
She is survived by daughters, Karyn (Bruce) Bertelsen, Jonna Merrill; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Piccioni; two sisters, Rose Orrell and Edna (Reggie) Williams; grandchildren, Kristy Bertelsen, Kelly (Clint) Euse, John Piccioni, Keith Piccioni; and many loving great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, John Piccioni; and son, Veloy Piccioni.
A graveside service will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 3, 11 a.m., at the Price City Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.

Ameila Grow
HUNTINGTON – Amelia “Millie” Thompson Grow, 78 passed away Aug. 23, 2005 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 5, 1927 in Duchesne to Joseph B. Thompson and Alice E. Thompson Clark. Married Eugene L. Rogers and had four sons. Later divorced.
Married David O. Grow and lived in Moroni. He died Feb. 28, 1978. She has lived the past 15 years in Huntington.
Millie loved spending time with her family fishing, camping and being in the outdoors. She also enjoyed making quilts and embroidering.
She is survived by sons, Bill, Mick (Laurie), both of Orangeville, Dennis (Marcie), Huntington; brother, Carl Thompson, Vernal; sister, Rhoda Keel, Arizona; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Mary Lance, Alice Keel; brothers, Joseph, Edward; son, Roy; and granddaughter, Kristy.
Burial, Friday, Aug. 26, American Fork City Cemetery.
Betty Stork
PASCO, Wash. – Betty Jane Stork, 84, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2005 at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick, Wash.
She was born Nov. 21, 1920 in Red Lodge, Mont., to Ray and Bertha Houton.
Betty was a homemaker and had lived in the Tri-Cities for over 50 years. Her hobbies included photography and artwork, especially painting. Betty was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Pasco, Wash.
She is survived by son, Charles T. Stork, Pasco, Wash.; daughter, Mary A. and husband Gary Westlake of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Arlene and husband Bill Brown of Utah; granddaughters, Nicole A. Stork and Jaclyn R. Stork; grandson, Keith Westlake; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by parents, Ray and Bertha; and stepfather, Otto Kesti.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Betty’s special friend and caregiver, Kim Bennett.

Rose Jackson
PRICE – Rose Colosimo Jackson passed away Aug. 25, 2005.
She was born Oct. 13, 1921 to Carman and Katherine Colosimo. Married Harold Jackson.
Survived by three children, Linda, Gayle and Dennis; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Jennie and Pat Colosimo and 11 nieces and nephews. Her husband; parents; brothers, Joe, Sam, John and Louie; sisters, Minnie, Annie and Mary preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Aug. 29 in Garden City, Mich.
