Dottie Flemett, the school nurse for Carbon School District, accepts a check for $873 from Emma Kuykendall during a short ceremony at the Southeastern Utah Health District office in Price. As Dave Cunningham, Joyce Pierce and Pat Scherschel look on. The money came from the United Methodist Women as a presentation to the district so that it can be used to help kids who are just above the poverty line and aren’t insured to get glasses, dental work and other miscellaneous medical help. The money came from the Ministerial Alliance for Work and Food, and was generated by the Lenten luncheons the group has been holding.
