East Carbon High principal Carol Wells puts an ice pack on Chris Dickerson’s sprained ankle after the boy came to school and found out that his foot was bothering him. Dickerson said he actually hurt his foot while he was on a trip in Colorado. While many people think of schools as a place to educate kids, the other side of that is tending to the needs of the students while they are in the school, including providing good facilities, lunch programs, supervision and yes, even a little loving care at times.
