Pat Hillas
PRICE – Our loving mother, yia yia, sister, aunt and friend, Patricia Dragatis Hillas, age 76, passed away Feb. 11, 2005 at home while surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 19, 1928 to Harry Nicholas and Efthemia Zaganas Dragatis. She married John Hillas May 14, 1950 in Price.
She was an active member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, where she was a member of the Philoptochos Society.
Lifelong resident of Carbon County, where she attended Notre Dame School and graduated from Carbon High School in 1946.
She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
As a prominent businesswoman, she worked with her husband and family at the Mecca Club and Cafe since 1961. She enjoyed traveling with her family and visiting with friends.
Pat had a great love for family, friends and especially her grandchildren.
Survived by 10 children, George (Marcella) Hillas, Efthemia (Mike) Bruno, Elizabeth (Ron) Howes, Harry (Barbara) Hillas, Andrew Hillas, Elaine Hillas, Kathryn (Keith) Lawrence, Steve (Angie) Hillas, John Hillas, and Patrick Hillas; two sisters, Mary Vatsis and Kathryn Halamandaris; sister-in-law, Mary Tervo; brother-in-law, Mike Stavros; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents; husband; brother, Nicholas Dragatis; and great-grandson, Seth Howes.
We appreciate the sacrifices you made for us, Mom. We love you, and will miss you very much.
The family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with the Trisagion prayer service at 7 p.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, PO Box 688, Price, UT 84501.

Elsie Hile
SPRING GLEN/WHITTIER, Calif. – The family of Elsie Hile is deeply saddened by the passing of their beloved wife and mother on Jan. 30, 2005.
Elsie was born on Dec. 10 1924 in Spring Glen to John and Mary O’Green, who came the the United States from Slovenia. Having moved to California, Elsie was married to James L. Hile for over 58 years where they lived in Whittier, Calif.
She is survived by her devoted husband; her two children, Kathleen Ann Hile, Whittier, Calif.; and James William Hile, Deerfield, Ill; three grandchildren, Andrew, Elliot and Spencer Hile, all of Deerfield; and her twin sister, Alice Bogan, Terra Linda, Calif. Elsie has six nieces: MaryBeth Ratto, Petaluma, Calif.; Barbara Fauscett, Price; Deborah Dornaus, Napa, Calif.; Janis Aberle, Jeanne Day and Nancy Wiggins, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; and five nephews: David Bogan, Concord, Calif.; Stephen Cowan, Price; Pat Cowan, Moreno Valley, Calif.; Bobby Cowan, Ontario, Calif.; and John O’Green, Columbus, Ohio. She had a sister, Anne Cowan, and a brother, Ernest O’Green, who preceeded her in death.
Elsie was a very active in the Parent-Teacher Association while her children were growing up. She then worked as an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for 23 years, where she received many honors for her hard work and dedication.
Elsie was a kind and caring person, who was affectionately called “The Boss” by her husband.
She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and traveling with her husband on trips throughout the U.S.
Elsie and her twin sister, Alice, recently celebrated their 80th birthday together with other family members in December.
Leah S. Justesen
ORANGEVILLE – Leah Sitterud Justesen, age 91, was blessed to be able to return home to her Heavenly Father on Feb. 13, 2005.
She was born in Orangeville to Ole W. and Caroline Tatton Sitterud on Aug. 20, 1913. She married Russell (Shep) Justesen in the Manti LDS Temple Oct. 29, 1936 and they were married for 57 years.
Together, they had six children, five of whom survive the couple, Annalee and Dick Jones, Orangeville; Karl and Gloria Justesen, Salem; Alice and Tim Blackham, Murray; Ralph and Rebecca Justesen and Kathryn and Tracy Addley, of Orangeville.
Leah loved her children and was proud of their accomplishments. She adored her 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and she was blessed with three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son Russell and two grandchildren.
Leah lived her entire life in Orangeville. As an active member of the LDS Church she loved serving in the Primary, especially in the boy’s programs. She spent many years as the compassionate service leader and loved being a visiting teacher in the Relief Society.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. in the Orangeville LDS Chapel where friends may call from 10 to 10:45 prior to services. Burial, Orangeville Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
The family wishes to express gratitude and great appreciation to the workers at the Emery County Care and Rehabilitation Center who lovingly and tenderly cared for our mother.
Jane F. Swasey
FT. BRIDGER, WYO. – Jane F. Swasey passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, of causes incident to age.
Jane was the youngest child of English immigrants John and Louisa Moran Fish. She was born on March 28, 1917 in Sunnyside. The family lived in various small coal mining camps. Her later years, they settled in Ferron. She attended school at Moab.
At the age of 19, she married Robert Matin Swasey at Castle Dale on Oct. 10, 1936. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple in 1960. They had three children Jerry, Mary and Kathleen. In 1949, they moved to Wellington ,where they lived for 38 years. In 1987, they moved to Moab, where they lived until Robert’s death in 1993. Then Jane moved to Alaska with her daughter, Mary. She lived there from 1994 to 1996. Then she moved to Fort Bridger, Wyo., for eight years until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, brothers, and sisters and grandson Verald Hunt.
Graveside services were Saturday, Feb. 12, in the Wellington City Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
