•Academic all-state announced.
Two Carbon High students have been selected for academic all-state honors this winter by the Utah High School Activities Association.
One of those students is Natalie Rowley who made the all-state drill team.
The other is Mikaleen Loveless who is on the Lady Dino’s diving team.
•Motocross honors. Some local motocross riders were honored at the Delta Center on Jan. 8 during the Utah Sportsman Riders Association Awards Banquet for the 2004 racing season.
Riders honored were Robbie Mitchell who placed first in the ATV intermediate class, Tyrel Brady who placed fifth in the intermediate class, Mark Tamllos who placed fourth in the 125 Junior Class, Nickell Tamllos who took first in the powder puff class and fifth in the heads up class, Ryker Smith who took third in the Pee Wee shaft drive class, Tannin Bentley who tied for fifth in the heads-up class, Beth Child who placed fifth in the powder puff class and Jeff Holdaway who placed fifth in the open pro class. In addition Preston Smith took first in the open pro class.
