Young wrestlers do well in various tournaments

Kyler Key wrestles with a opponent at the National Who’s Bad Classic tournament in Denver on Jan. 1.

Kyler Key took first place (61 lbs.) in the National Who’s Bad Classic tournament held in Denver Colorado January 1st.
He also took 1st in the November 5th Monster Match, and is now reaching for the amateur youth Triple Crown title.
His teammates placed in three other categories.
Caleb Williams took home third in the 50 lbs category. He has been attending all the national tournaments for the past three years placing at each one.
The Raptors practiced all through the holiday vacation two times a day five days a week. The dedication and discipline these amateur wrestlers show is amazing.
The team has four Utah state champs.
Kenny Wood is new to the Carbon Raptors team. Kenny came from the Nevada’s Ruby Mountain wrestling team, where he was the Nevada state champ and placed fourth in the Who’s Bad at 100 lbs.
Johnny Ohearon placed 5th (61 lbs). Bryce Jackman (57 lbs) and Tyler Procarione (57 lbs) both brought home overall sportsman’s award for the tournament.
The next week two of the wrestlers attended a Payson Jr. High tournament. Wood placed second (96 lbs) and Jackman first (65 lbs).
