Florence Tallerico
PRICE – Florence Nelson Tallerico, 90, passed away Oct. 20, 2004 in Price.
She was born Feb. 6, 1914 in Gunnison, to John and Bert Madson Nelson. Married Louie Tallerico on March 27, 1933 in Las Vegas, Nev. He died Feb. 3, 1983.
Member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.
She enjoyed spending time at the senior center where she made ceramic figurines.
Florence and her husband owned and operated Luigi’s Cafe on Price Main Street for many years.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survived by daughters, LouAnn (Gerry) Varner, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mary (Chuck) Ghirardelli, Helper; Jerry (Dixon) Black, Helper; Sandy Kveset, Price; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Newell (Madge) Nelson, Cleveland; and sister, Ethel Roth, Pico Rivera, Calif. Preceded in death by parents; four sisters; two brothers; grandchild, Richard Louie (Little Louie); and son-in-law, Rick Kveset.

Clyde Nelson
PRICE/OGDEN – Clyde McConkie Nelson died of a heart attack Oct. 18, 2004 in Burnt Fork, Wyo., doing what he loved most, four-wheeling with his two sons.
He was born Jan. 6, 1950 in Price to Rulon and Ruth McConkie Nelson.
To those who knew him, Clyde Nelson was a man who was always happy, always prepared with a joke,and always had a smile a mile wide
He was an associate director in prevention at the Weber County Office of Human Services.
He was a wonderful mentor with a thousand stories.
Those who were close to Clyde recognized his unconditional love for his two boys and his zest for adventure and the great outdoors.
It is easy to picture him riding his four-wheeler with his huge, child-like grin, with his dog, Hank, by his side, and with his two sons following closely behind.
It is also easy to picture him wearing an umbrella hat, rowing a group of petrified tourists down the wildest of whitewater rapids, screaming, “wahoo!”
Clyde is survived by two sons, Kaleb and Garet Nelson of Ogden; mother, Ruth M. Nelson, Ferron; brothers and sisters, Monte (Jan) Nelson, West Valley; Sylvia (Gerald) Haycock, Sandy; Beth (Leon) Bogedahl, Torrey; James R. (Lynda) Nelson, Ferron; Anne (Mike) Thompson, Richland, Wash.; Mark (Ruth) Nelson, Ferron; and Keith (Amy) Nelson, Castle Dale. He was preceded in death by father, J. Rulon Nelson; and brother, Conrad Nelson.
A celebration of his life was held Oct. 23 at the South Ogden senior center.
John Mahleres
PRICE – John H. Mahleres, age 81, passed away Oct. 21, 2004 in Price.
He was born Oct. 22, 1922 in Price to Harry J. and Ourania Sampinos Mahleres. Married Bessie Coleman Oct. 28, 1945 in Price. She died April 13, 2002.
Active member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, where he was a cantor and member of the GAPA.
John was a longtime resident of Carbon County, where he was a self-employed rancher and a member of the Wool Grower’s Association.
He was a graduate of Carbon High School.
Survived by son, Johnny (Nancy) Mahleres, Price; daughter, ReNee Soumbeniotis, Reno, Nev.; son-in-law, Dr. Jim Soumbeniotis, Reno, Nev.; grandchildren, Nicole Mahleres, Price; Elene Soumbeniotis, Reno, Nev.; Michael Soumbeniotis, Chicago, Ill.; sister, Sophia M. (Richard) Hayes, Price; brother, and Nick H. (Helen) Mahleres, Grand Junction, Colo. Also survived by many loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by sister, Dea M. Diamanti; and brother, Angelo Mahleres.

Barbara Cribbs
HIAWATHA/LAKELAND, Fla. – Barbara Dixon Hawley Cribbs, age 65, died Oct. 20, 2004 unexpectedly.
She was born July 9, 1939 to Carl and Leona Dixon.
Barbara loved her family and children’s families by whom she will be deeply missed.
She was a graduate of Carbon High School. She was a graduate of Carbon High School. Barbara never missed a class reunion. She traveled great distances to attend them and visit with her Utah families and friends.
Survivors include John Phillips, someone special in her life; children, Joe and Denise Hawley; John and Joyce Hawley, Tim and Jill Hawley; 6 grandchildren, all of Lakeland, Fla.; brothers, Tom and Pat Dixon; Bob and Sharon Dixon; sister, Jannett and Byron Patterson. Preceded in death by parents; and sister, Jannie Nielson.
Services were in Lakeland, Florida on Saturday Oct. 23.
Amelia Guadagnoli
PRICE – Loving mother of five generations, Mary Amelia Russo Guadagnoli, age 96, passed away Oct. 21, 2004 in Price.
She was born July 22, 1908 in Trinidad, Colo., to John and Angelina Milano Russo. Married Antonio Guadagnoli on Oct. 21, 1922 in Sunnyside. He died Jan. 23, 1989.
Member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church and the Notre Dame Quilting Guild.
Survived by daughters, Beverly Pace, Grand Junction, Colo.; Venice Golden, Elmo; Rose Marie Guadagnoli, Springville; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary Russo and Andy Russo; and sister, Yolanda Felice, all of Kelowna, B.C., Canada.

Ramon Martinez
HUNTINGTON – Ramon Martinez, age 76, died Oct. 22, 2004 in Huntington.
Ramon was born Aug. 29, 1928 in Newdale, Idaho, the son of Fred and Teofila Martinez. He married Lorraine Jensen of Ferron on April 10, 1954.
He served as an Army medic in Germany from 1950-1952. Ramon and Lorraine had four children.
Ramon served as a member and past president of the Lions Club, as a member of the American Legion, as the mayor of Huntington city for eight years, and was a retired Utah Highway Patrol trooper, having serving 20 years on the force.
Ramon was most happy when his children and grandchildren were happy. He loved spoiling his grandkids and helping those who were in need.
Ramon is survived by wife, Lorraine; three daughters, Evone (Richard) Pope, Pennsylvania; Nancy Martinez and Jackie (Tab) Weihing, both of Huntington, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also survived by two brothers, Fred Martinez and Ben Martinez, both of Carbon County. Preceded in death by parents; and son, Michael Ramon Martinez.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 26, 11 a.m., at the Huntington LDS Stake Center. Friends are invited to call Tuesday one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, Huntington Cemetery.
Zigmund Przytulski
SALT LAKE CITY – Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Zigmund John Przytulski, age 72, passed away Oct. 19, 2004 at Cottonwood Hospital in Murray following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born May 2, 1932 in New Britain, Conn., the son of Frank and Katherine Belniak Przytulski, who were Polish immigrants. He married Norma Albina Borla Nov. 27, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Zig served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and then another four years in the Air Force Reserves.
He and his wife owned and operated Zig’s Mini Mart for 20 years
He was a member of St. Vincent De Paul’s Catholic Church, Stella D’America Italian Lodge in Helper, the Italian American Civic League and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, including special moments shared with his granddaughter, Mackenzie.
He is survived by wife, Norma; daughter, Joanne (Curt) Przytulski-Smith; granddaughter, Mackenzie Smith; brother, Brother Julian Przytulski, Order of Sacred Heart; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Casimer and Joseph.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday at St. Vincent De Paul’s Catholic Church, where family and friends visited Friday with the recitation of the holy rosary. Committal services, Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Utah.
Jay Hall
PAYSON – Jay Markham Hall passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004.
He was born Dec. 23, 1917 in Maeser (Vernal), to Leona Ashby and Thomas Edwin Hall. Jay married his sweetheart ,Beth Swenson, on Dec. 20, 1945 in the Logan LDS Temple. They shared 706 wonderful months together.
He was employed by Utah State University as an agricultural extension agent. His work took him to Shiraz, Iran, Wayne County, Millard County, Box Elder County and Carbon County.
Upon his retirement in 1981, Beth and Jay moved to Payson. They served two 18-month missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Louis, Mo., and Boston, Mass. They were both ordinance workers in the Provo LDS Temple for over 20 years.
He is survived by wife; three brothers; one sister; and six children, Dan (Kathy), Pleasanton, Calif.; Kent (Janie), Montgomery, Ala.; Robert (Corin), Payson; Mary Ann (Lloyd) Marchant, Moberly, Mo.; Patty (Arlen) Tanner, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Tammy (Tracy) Larsen, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; and raised one nephew, Chell (Cindy) Winegar, Carlin, Nev. He has 42 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother; two brothers; sisters; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 25.
