Alexis Horsley organizes election ballots at the county clerk’s office. More than 350 local citizens have already voted in the 2004 election. Early ballots involve absentee voters and military personnel.
Horsley said more than 2,000 local residents have registered to vote or changed addresses in the last several weeks. There are about 14,000 registered voters in Carbon County. Due to varying legislative and school board district boundaries, the county has prepared six ballots.
Residents may still register to vote on Friday and Monday until 8 p.m. at the county courthouse.
