Second graders Chris Shaw, Zac Miller, Vincent Anella and Kody Quarnburg grab for pumpkins to decorate in Gerri Tabone’s class on Wednesday. The 2004 event is the second year of the pumpkin giveaway and decoration contest, sponsored by Richard Hackwell and Farm Bureau Insurance in Price. All 275 second grade students n Carbon County were given a pumpkin to decorate with markers, yarn, flowers and glitter. Prizes will be awarded to the winning students after the pumpkins are judged on Oct. 18.
