A couple of weeks ago I was told we have a gun range going in Carbon County and once its in, it will be against the law to have a firearm out in the public domain unless there is a hunting reason and a person is carrying the proper weapon for that hunt.
Is Carbon County planning to have its own brand of gun control, or is it just a nasty rumor?
I can see, having worked for Utah Power and Light, of the damage a small minority can cause, especially to equipment out in the gas fields. This is a very small minority and they need to be caught and punished. But the county shouldn’t punish all for the actions of a few.
If the information I have is true, or if it is not, I would appreciate someone from the appropriate county office, whether it be the sheriff or a commissioner, to respond in the Sun Advocate to this issue.
