A student strolls around the constuction fences at the College of Eastern Utah to get to the east side of campus. The trip for those at CEU from the Leavitt Student Center to the library in the middle of campus has changed from a short hop of about 100 feet to a jaunt around the Geary Theater and past the Reeves Building. The reason for the long walk is the replacement of steam tunnels under the center part of the campus, and consequently the construction of new sidewalks above them. The construction is slated to be wrapped up later in the fall and then once again, a trip to the library will no longer be a safari.
