Jennifer Marakis organizes shoes and clothing items like socks, underwear and shirts during last week’s school giveaway program at the Carbon County family support center, located on the corner of 100 North and 300 East in Price. For six years, the center has coordinated clothing and school supplies to be given to needy families in the local area. Coordinating the efforts through the College of Eastern Utah Sun Center, Marakis collaborated with a variety of businesses and agencies. Organizers estimate more than 150 children will benefit from the program.
