UDOT and a Salt Lake hauling company prepare to transport a 311,000 pound transformer on U.S. 191 through Indian Canyon to the Bonzana power plant in northeastern Utah. The transformer was shipped to Price by rail from Mexico. Two semi-trucks were used to push the rig, while a third pulled. The length of the load exceeded 270 feet and required 132 tires for the complete unit. UDOT authorized the move. Intermountain Rigging and Heavy Hauling expected the process of transporting the transformer through the canyon to take two days to complete.
