Carrie Ruzanski


HELPER-Carrie Ruzanski, age 93, passed away on June 14, 2004 at the Harmony House in Helper.
Born Dec. 12, 1910 in Dover, Kan., to Lloyd and Mary A. Dreher Whitecotton. Moved to Deer Fork, Colo., and homesteaded a ranch. Married Charles Hanson March 9, 1930 and had one daughter. Divorced in 1942 and married Rudolph Ruzanski June 25, 1949 in Rock Springs, Wyo.
She worked for FW Wool-worth’s and attended night school to become a bookkeeper. She later went to work as office manager for Pacific Fruit Producers Co.
She moved to Glenwood Springs, Colo., in 1957, where she worked for the Daily Reminder paper and later worked for the law offices of Peatry and Zimmer as bookkeeper and tax consultant until her retirement.
She was a long-standing member of the BPW Club until her health restricted her of most activities. She was extremely happy when she received the Woman of the Year Award in June 1993.
Survived by daughter, Pat (Tony) Gabossi; three grandchildren, Kim Gabossi, Price; Tony M. (Cami) Gabossi, Vernal; John Gabossi, Canton, Mich.; four great-granddaughters, Kari, Kelli, Whitney, Cenzlie; two great-grandsons, Trevor and Joshua; sister, Beth Fossett, Dublin, Calif. Preceded in death by husband, father, mother, eight brothers and two sisters.
Family graveside service will be Friday, June 18, 1 p.m., at the Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs, Colo. No flowers, please.
The family would like to express sincere thanks and appreciation for all the love and wonderful care she received by the staff at Harmony House, Helper, for the past two and one-half years. A special thanks to Maryln Hadden, she is an angel. Also thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice for their dedicated service.
We love you dearly mom and surely will miss you. Who will bake our pies and cakes on the holidays?


Carol Prazen


HUNTINGTON/MESQUITE, Nev. – Our precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Carol Ellen Foote Prazen, joined our dad in their eternal home on June 12, 2004. One year, one month and one week were too long to be apart.
Born Aug. 10, 1938 in Huntington, Emery County, to wonderful parents, Oscar and Zadella Foote. She grew up in Castle Gate. She married her high school sweetheart, John F. Prazen, on Nov. 23, 1957 and was sealed to him in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on Aug. 27, 1960.
Carol raised six children who cherished every moment with her, J. Marlon (Tarri) Prazen of Homer, Alaska.; Shannon K. Prazen of Salt Lake City; S. Machele (Kenneth) Sandoval of Mesquite, Nev.; the late Randy L. (Margaret) Prazen of Mt. Pleasant; Mark D. (Laurn) Prazen of Mesquite, Nev.; and Adrian (Rachel) Prazen of Salt Lake City. She was blessed to have 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, not to mention all that she loved as her own. She is also survived by her four sisters, Yuvonne (Morris) Jewkes of Price; Ina (Paul) Golding of Provo; Alice (Dale) Jewkes of Price; and Norma Baggett of Pleasant Grove.
Carol had several accomplishments, including hospice care, but none greater than that of being the most loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We were truly blessed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jane Manalo and her staff at the Snow Canyon Clinic, the nurses at Gentiva and Southern Utah Home Health and Hospice for all the loving care that they provided to our mother and all of us.
Our heartfelt thanks to all who prayed for her and all of her many blessings that she received which brought her so much comfort and kept her faith ever strong.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 17, 2 p.m. (Nevada time) at the Mesquite LDS Stake Center, 121 North Arrowhead Lane , under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary. Visitation will be at the stake center Thursday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 19, at 3 p.m. (Utah time) at the Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan. Visitation will be at the Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, on Saturday from 2 to 2:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Carol would have wanted a donation made to the American Cancer Society in her memory at 1599 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329.


William Hill


BURBANK, Calif – William Klymett Hill, age 91, died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at his home in Burbank, Calif.
He was born Feb. 1, 1913 in Sunnyside, the son of George and Jennie (McMullin) Hill.
He was employed at Lockheed – R& D Hydraulics Mechanics.
He is survived by three sons, Morris Hill, Burbank, Calif.; Douglas L. Hill, Burbank, Calif.; Frank Hill, LaCanada, Calif.; sister, Beth Robb of Orem; 25 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife of 59 years, Frank Edra Liddell; a daughter, Carolyn Karlinsey; and son, Howard Hill.
Funeral was Wednesday, June 16, under the direction of Eckerman-Heisman Funeral Service. Committal service was in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Burbank, Calif.


Bernard McMenamy


PRICE – Beloved father, grandfather and friend, Bernard “Bernie” Paul McMenamy, age 81, passed away June 13, 2004 at Castle Country Care Center in Price.
Born Jan. 30, 1923 in St. Charles, Mo., to Michael and Ann McAtee McMenamy. Married Nora McMenamy
Survived by two daughters, Vale (Gust) Himonas, Price; Sheila Ann Fegan, Janesville, Calif.; niece, Aroona Yates; and grandchildren, Michael Martin, James Fegan and Whitney Fegan. Also survived by two brothers, Xavier and Vincent McMenamy, and his loving family at Castle Country Care Center. Preceded in death by wife, Nora McMenamy.
Memorial Mass Wednesday, June 23, 11 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.
