The 11th hole of the Carbon Country Club golf course is a downhill, par four with several hazards, making familiarity with the course layout an added advantage to players.

The 11th hole of the Carbon Country Club golf course is a downhill, 370 yard par four.
Making the correct tee shot is key to having success on the hole.
While the fairway is wide, out-of-bounds looms on the left and bunkers threaten on the far right.
An iron shot is recommended off the tee.
Optimal location for the tee shot is approximately 150 yards out, which will give golfers a flat area to hit their approach shot.
In the approach, golfers should be conscious of the wind.
The 11th green is framed by water on the right and bunkers on the left and back right. Conservative approach shots will tend toward the left-center of the green to take the water out of play. However, the bunkers, which are also a hazard, present golfers with a difficult shot as well.
According to the United States Golf Association rules of golf, “except as provided in the rules, before making a stroke at a ball that is in a hazard (whether a bunker or a water hazard)…, the player must not: test the condition of the hazard or any similar hazard; touch the ground in the hazard or water in the water hazard with his hand or a club; or touch or move a loose impediment lying in or touching the hazard”.
