Price city crews were on the spot on Thursday morning as they began to reconstruct canal banks and widen the stream in places where it was obstructed in an area across from Mont Harmon Junior High. Neighbors had become alarmed by the condition of the south bank and had talked with the Price Public Service Department about the situation. While the canal had a good stream of water in it, during summer thunder showers the water rises substantially from runoff from undeveloped land that exists north and west of the city. The work was done to be sure that in such a case, the stream banks would not fail.
