Bennie Pinegar
WELLINGTON – Bennie Paul Pinegar, 78, honorable and loving husband, father, grandpa and friend, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2004 at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Salt Lake City, due to cancer.
He was born May 17, 1926 in Wellington, to Harvey Cicero Pinegar and Dorothea Irene Leming.On August 5, 1948 he married Joann Herzett. They were later divorced. He married his sweetheart, Darlene Williams October 20, 1965; they were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
He spent many happy times playing along the Price River with his siblings and dog, Tippy.
Ben served in the U.S. Navy during World Ward II as a 20mm gunner and also as a frogman. He courageously put himself in harm’s way to save other sailors’ and soldiers’ lives more than once. After leaving the military, he worked as a heavy equipment operator in numerous western states, and also operated his own awning businesses in Arizona and southern California. Ben was an honest, hard worker who always did more than his share. He loved being outdoors, and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Ben was a skilled woodworker and craftsman, creating many beautiful objects by hand. However, his greatest pride and joy was his family and loved ones. He was a humble and selfless man who served his friends and neighbors in ways not often recognized by anything more than the gratitude of those who received his help. Ben had a special friend in his little dog, Frosty. Frosty lived for the time of day when he would get to go “guard the truck” when Ben would take him somewhere in it. Ben showed great love to his wife, their children, grandchildren and friends. He had a huge heart and was loved by all who knew him.
Ben is survived by loving wife, Darlene Ruth Williams Pinegar, eight children, Sondra (Bern) Jefferies, Harvey and Marilyn Pinegar, Cheryl (Gary) Young, Steven (Hyang) Ames, David (Jil) Ames, SuzAnne (Clayton) Soule, Michael Pinegar; 19 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marion Lesa and Marjorie B. Reusch. He was preceded in death by parents, five brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Thursday. June 3, 11 a.m., in the Spanish Fork LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 98 South Main. Friends and family may call Thursday morning at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment with military honors will be in the Wellington City Cemetery at 3 p.m. that afternoon.

Margaret Hardy
PRICE – Margaret Farnworth Hardy, age 86, passed away May 28, 2004 at Parkdale Care Center.
She was born Jan. 23, 1918 in Mt. Pleasant, to George Q. and Madaline Morley Farnworth. Married Payne Dean Hardy Jan. 14, 1936 in Provo. He died Aug. 30, 1983.
Member of the LDS Church. Margaret was a former longtime resident of Utah County where she worked at the Utah Valley Hospital for many years. She loved gardening, crocheting, crafts and especially camping with her family.
Survived by three daughters and one son, Judy (Merrill) Ivie, Price; Laury Hardy, Erda; Peggy (Donald) Thatcher, Hurricane; Bonnie Clark, LaVerkin; three brothers, Earl (Dorothy) Farnworth, Dean Farnworth, Leo (Mary) Farnworth, all of Orem; sister, ReNee Hewitt, Lindon; special granddaughters, Carol, Gayla, Sue, Ann and Monica; darling great-granddaughters, Camille and Daidee; and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, DeAnn Smith; and sister, Mildred Johnson.
Funeral service Friday, June 4, 2 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will will be at Mitchell’s Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
James Pate
HUNTINGTON – James Marlan Pate, age 37, passed away May 30, 2004 in Price.
He was born Aug. 25, 1966 in Sturgis, Ky., to Joseph Earl and Joan Lee Sisk Pate.
He was always there to help anyone in need and enjoyed being with his friends. The love of his life, however, was his daughter, Kendra.
He is survived by father, Joe, of Kentucky; mother and stepfather, Joan and Ed Harrison; daughter, Kendra, all of Huntington; grandmother, Irene Sisk of Mortons Gap, Ky.; brothers, Joey and Jeff of Kentucky; and sister, Janet of Price.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 4, 11 a.m., at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale where friends may call Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Burial, Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Mortons Gap, Ky., Monday, June 7, 2 p.m., under the direction of Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, Ky., where friends and family will meet from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to going to the cemetery.
