Carbon Dinos lost their first region game of the season to area rival Emery on Friday night.
“You’ve gotta give Emery some credit. They’ve got kids that can flat out shoot the ball,” head coach Ted Bianco commented. “They hit some big threes in the second half that really sealed it for them.”
The point margin of the game always remained in the low, single digits.
However, when the clock finally ran down, Emery had the advantage.
The final score was 75-67.
Bryan Stewart was the Dinos’ high scorer with 22.
Bianco said he was impressed with his team’s performance and ability to score in the game.
Emery is currently ranked fourth in the state and is likely one of the tougher 3A teams Carbon will face this season.
“They’re a good indicator of what you’ll have to play against in the state tourney,” Bianco projected.
Carbon hosts North Sanpete tonight. Game time is 7 p.m.
