Letter to the Editor: State needs to commit to timetable

With regard to the Highway 6, the state needs to commit to a master plan of making the road four lanes, full length, within a reasonable timetable for completion.
We appreciate the work that has been done and also the efforts of our law enforcement people on Highway 6.
A massive amount of revenue has come out of this part of the state with billions of dollars worth of coal extracted, a vast amount of power generated and a huge gas field that is being developed. In addition there are also many other sources of revenue from this area.
The traffic volume on U.S. 6 equals and at times, exceeds the volume on I-70. This is only going to increase as time goes on.
