With only two points scored in the first half of Tuesday’s home game against Meridian, the East Carbon Viking’s losing streak continues into the new year.
Two Meridian players combined for 32 of Meridian’s 40 points. Kelly Hennessey scored 18 points for the Mongooses with her strong inside moves and Leslie Robertson added 14 on lay-ins, setup by her own steals.
The final score was 15-40.
Donna Turner led the Vikings with seven points. Samantha Madrid and Nikole Larsen added four.
East Carbon will face Meridian again on Jan. 29 at Meridian.
