When teams return from the holiday break, region eight competition will begin.
None of the five region eight teams have faced off yet in boys or girls basketball during the 2003-2004 season.
The boys team can expect a major battle in each conference game this year, according to Carbon High’s head coach Ted Bianco. Region eight will produce several strong teams and winners can change on any given night.
Girls head coach Bruce Bean said he expects the Lady Dinos to continue their dynasty as one of the strongest 3A teams in the state.
