Ron Bogdin of Carbon County Sheriff’s Department leads drug dog Cony around the lockers at Carbon High. The periodic drug searches are performed at junior highs and high schools in the area. According to the commander of the Carbon Drug Task Force, Kevin Drolc, the agency aims to raise awareness on the drug issue in the area as well as divert any students from dealing in illegal substances. Drolc said Carbon residents can expect the searches to extend to other public areas as well.
