Letter to the Editor: There should be no interference with mine

By Sun Advocate

Editor:
In the Sept. 30 issue of the Sun Advocate was a notice of the application by the Utah American Energy Company to the Division of Oil and Gas applying to open the Lila Canyon Mine.
This should be approved so they can proceed with the plans to open the mine.
While this mine is actually in Emery County it will also help the economy of Carbon County a great deal.
The environmentalists should be kept from interfering with this mine. They should stay in southern Utah.
