Senior Brittani Bentley slams the ball past Lehi blockers for the kill. Carbon defeated Lehi in three games.

Carbon High swept past the Lehi Pioneers, beating them in three games Tuesday night at Carbon.
The win makes the team 2-2 in region play.
In games one and two, Carbon kept a steady lead on the Pioneers, winning 25-18 and 25-20.
Carbon showed no signs slowing in the third game. The Lady Dinos lead 15-0 before misserve gave Lehi a much needed sideout.
Carbon quickly took back the momentum, and finished the match 25-9.
Coach Bruce Bean said the team played well and is adapting to changes the coaching staff has made in recent weeks.
“We are trying to get it so we are playing our best ball in four weeks,” Bean commented.
Carbon has five matches remaining in their regular season, four of which are region play.
The state tournament is set to begin Oct. 31 at Utah Valley State College.
Carbon’s next match is against the Delta Rabbits on Oct. 7. Delta recently upset the Dinos at Carbon, breaking their home winning streak which has spanned the last four years.
Bean said the team will be working on cleaning up the errors which were committed in the last Delta match.
“We’ll be looking for a little payback,” Bean concluded.
Carbon’s next home game is Oct. 9 against rivals Emery. The varsity match begins at 6:30 p.m.
