Carbon golf

Dino golf still has a chance for second place in the region with two matches left, said coach Tony Pinedo.
Carbon hosted a region match Sept. 18 at Carbon Country Club golf course.
The team was down by 36 strokes to Lehi, but mustered a comeback victory to win by 24 strokes.
Carbon only trails the second place position by 12 strokes.
The team totals of Thursday’s match were:
Delta, 291; Carbon, 319; Lehi, 343; Emery, 344; North Sanpete, 372.
The team was led by Mike Smith (79), Mark Rasmussen (79), Tyler Nelson (79), and Mike Zaccaria (82).
Other varsity golfers included Trent Jensen (86), Cody Anderson (88), Kent Hartley (83), Cameron Oliver (89).
The junior varsity golfers were Hunter King (85), Bret Johnson (90), Jake Erramouspe (85), Chase Julian (84), Bart Hansen (88), Darren Milano (92), and Houston Lui (90).
Carbon’s next match is hosted by Lehi on Sept. 25.
