Carbon County Recreation is offering a rock-climbing workshop Sept. 25 and 27. The class will involve both a classroom session and a rock-climbing outing in Spring Canyon.
Learn the basics and safety requirements of rock climbing and rappelling in a classroom session that begins at 4 p.m. in room 250 of the Price Community Center. The class will then move to CCR’s portable climbing wall where students will learn technique and safety. Classes will conclude at 9 a.m. Sept. 27 and then students will get an opportunity to climb an actual rock wall in Spring Canyon.
This workshop is inexpensive and is discounted for Carbon County residents. All the equipment is provided. For more information call Carbon County Recreation at 637-5092. Preregistration is required. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, Sept. 24.
