Carbon’s Monica Shorts sets to Brittany Pollastro for the spike in Tuesday night’s match against Uintah. Carbon easily beat the Lady Utes in three straight matches, as they have with most teams this year. The Lady Dinos will host a volleyball tournament this weekend at Carbon High. Matches begin tomorrow.

Carbon volleyball is rolling through the early parts of their season, defeating most teams easily.
Tuesday’s game against Uintah was no exception. The Lady Dinos won three straight games over the Lady Utes by large margins.
The final game scores were 25-16, 25-12, and 25-16.
Hitting errors by Uintah and strong net play by Carbon brought about the solid Dino win.
“We had a few unforced errors,” Bean added, “But we’re getting better.”
Carbon also nabbed a win on their road trip to Park City last Thursday. The match was another shutout, with Carbon winning the first three games.
Coach Bruce Bean stated that he never knows from year to year which schools are going to be strong.
A lot of teams in the state have undergone coaching changes, which upsets the balance of the team, Bean commented.
However, Bean said he expects today’s game against Wasatch to be tough.
“Wasatch is a good ball club,” Bean noted.
Carbon will also host a tournament this weekend at the high school.
Tournament play begins tomorrow.
