Tabby Cummins charges the goal while Grand defenders helplessly watch. Cummins is the third leading 3-A scorer in the state, with 11 goals.

For their second consecutive game, the Dinos ended in a double-overtime tie with the opposition.
Sophomore Tabby Cummins scored the Dino’s only goal at the end of the first half. Cummins is the third leading 3-A scorer, with 11 goals.
Carbon had the game wrapped, leading 1-0, until two penalty calls in the last minutes of the second half let Grand back into the game.
The first penalty kick, called for a hand ball, sailed over the goal.
However, moments later the Dinos were penalized again for taking out a Union player.
The awarded kick slipped past Carbon keeper Dani Long, tying the game.
Neither team scored in either of the two overtimes.
Coach Dave Capalbo said his team should have come out on top.
“We led early but couldn’t hold on,” Capalbo said. “We took 15 shots to their eight but most of ours were straight to their goalie.”
The Dinos play Lehi at home Sept. 9 at 3:30 p.m.
