Major League all-star champions, Northern Heights are currently competing in the little world series of WBBA in Roosevelt. In their first game which took place August 5, Northern Heights defeated Highland, 15-3. During the second day of tournament action, the Carbon County team lost to a team from Hacienda, Calif., by the final 10-15. During this game, Nathan Martinez and Jordon Pinedo each completed a home run. Members of this year’s Northern Heights championship team include Levi Graff, Jordon Pinedo, Daniel Peczuh, Joshua Denison, coach Stephen Denison, Brandon Laverne, Dayton Martindale, Carson Franklin, Brock Morley, Corey Webster, Jason Molinar, Nathan Martinez and coach Mark Martinez.
