The annual Carbon County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Demolition Derby was conducted June 28 at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.
Each year, the event grows in numbers. Not only do more fans come out each year, but more contestants enter for a chance to demolish a vehicle.
This year’s competition attracted 40 contestants which made for an exciting event.
Gus Adams took home first place honors at this year’s derby while Jeremy Young finished in second place and Rick Adams rounded out the top three winners bracket.
The winner of this year’s wipeout finale was Jeremy Gunter and the best hit went to Rick Adams.
Most aggressive drive went to registered driver Gus Adams who placed first and second in this category.
Finally, Gerald Shiew received the best paint award.
