Price Police Officer Richard Boyden issues a citation to a Carbon County motorist during a routine traffic stop on Monday. For the next several weeks, the police department will increase the agency’s enforcement of Utah’s safety belt laws.
Law enforcement authorities remind adult motorists as well as passengers to always fasten seatbelts and restrain young travelers in proper safety devices. The ‘click it or ticket’ campaign will focus not only on the importance of safety belt usage, but the money and lives that the simple procedure of buckling up may save.
Law enforcement agencies in Carbon County and across the state will be on the look out for motorists violating the safety belt and child restraint laws throughout the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
